Sera lange, mS

Sera earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Illinois University and is awaiting licensure. She brings several years of experience working with children in different settings and has always felt drawn to supporting kids and teens who are carrying big feelings, difficult experiences, or stress within their families.

Sera understands that children and adolescents do not always have the words to explain what they are feeling. Sometimes their emotions show up through play, behavior, withdrawal, worry, anger, or shutting down. Her goal is to create a space where clients do not feel judged, rushed, or pressured, but instead feel safe enough to show up exactly as they are.

Her approach is warm, genuine, and relationship-based. She takes time to build trust, learn each client’s personality, and understand what helps them feel comfortable. In sessions, Sera incorporates play, sand tray, art, games, and expressive activities to help children and teens process emotions, build coping skills, and make sense of their experiences in a way that feels natural to them.

Sera works with children, teens, and clients of all ages navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, family conflict, and life transitions. She also values working alongside parents and caregivers, helping them better understand their child’s needs while strengthening connection and support at home.

Sera’s hope is that every client who sits with her feels seen, accepted, and understood — and leaves with a little more confidence, self-compassion, and belief in their ability to heal.
