Katelyn Potempa, MA

Mental health isn’t just about crisis—it’s about creating space to reconnect with yourself, find your footing, and move through life with more clarity and purpose. Katelyn believes that therapy is a collaborative journey where your story is honored, your symptoms are not your identity, and change begins with understanding. She is especially passionate about supporting first responders, veterans, and their families, as well as young adults building their sense of identity and resilience. She also has experience working with caregivers and the emotional toll that comes with that responsibility.

Katelyn specializes in working with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Her clinical approach is flexible and client-centered. She meets you where you are and tailors her methods to what works best for you—whether that’s building insight, regulating emotion, exploring meaning, or developing practical tools for daily life

Katelyn has spent much of her career advocating for mental health access through organizations like NAMI and the 100 Club of Illinois. You're not alone. Katelyn is here to help you regain a sense of control and connection in your life.
