Mary Beth Casarez, LCPC
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, individualized, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic approaches, tailoring interventions to each client's individual needs, experiences, and goals. I believe effective therapy requires flexibility and a strong therapeutic relationship, allowing treatment to evolve as clients gain insight, develop new skills, and work toward meaningful change.
I view therapy as a journey in which the client remains in the driver's seat while I help provide the map, guidance, and tools needed to navigate the road ahead. Therapy can bring moments of vulnerability and emotional discomfort, but it can also create opportunities for insight, empowerment, healing, and growth.
I work with adolescents ages 13 and older, adults, couples, and families. My clinical experience and areas of interest include anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, personality disorders, relationship concerns, emotional regulation, and interpersonal challenges. I particularly enjoy working with adolescents as they navigate identity development, self-esteem, relationships, emotional regulation, family dynamics, and the many transitions that accompany adolescence.
You do not have to figure everything out on your own. Therapy can be beneficial during any stage of life—whether you are experiencing a difficult season, navigating a major transition, working through a loss, strengthening your relationships, or simply seeking a better understanding of yourself. My goal is to provide a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, develop meaningful insight, build effective coping skills, and move toward the life you want to create.
I earned both my bachelor's and master's degrees from Trinity Christian College. I completed my undergraduate studies with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology before pursuing my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and am committed to providing compassionate, individualized, and evidence-informed care to adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
