Kathleen DiGiovanni, LSW

Kathleen is a Licensed Social Worker who loves helping kids and teens discover their strengths, build confidence, and reach their goals. She believes everyone has a story worth telling and works hard to create a safe, welcoming space where her clients can share, grow, and dream big.

With a friendly, down-to-earth approach, Kathleen helps young people tackle life’s challenges—whether that’s handling big feelings like anxiety, overcoming tough experiences, or learning new ways to succeed at school and at home. She uses fun, creative, and proven strategies to help each client feel supported, understood, and empowered.

Kathleen earned her master’s degree in social work from Governors State University, graduating with honors and specializing in trauma care. She has worked with kids and teens in all kinds of situations— including youth in the DCFS system, those navigating the effects of trauma, and neurodivergent individuals who think and learn in unique ways. She has also volunteered with the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance, supporting children who have experienced burns through abuse or neglect.

Before becoming a therapist, Kathleen was a paraprofessional at a high school, helping students succeed academically and emotionally. No matter the challenge, Kathleen believes every young person has the power to grow into the best version of themselves—and she’s here to help them do just that.
